    • PURPOSE: A carrier tape manufacturing apparatus is provided to reduce damage of combteeth by reducing force applying to the head of the combteeth because the length of the head of the combteeth is shorter than other combteeth. CONSTITUTION: A carrier tape manufacturing apparatus comprises first and second frames. A punch(21) of the first frame forms multiple recessed parts, accommodating electric parts, in one side of a base material. The base material is arranged in the second frame which is fitted in the first frame to press the base material. The punch has multiple combteeth(26) aligning in a line. The sectional area of a root of a combtooth(26a), disposed at the head of a relative movement direction of the punch with respect to a carrying direction of the base material, is bigger than other combteeth(26b~26e) thereof.
