CONSTITUTION: A seat belt for a vehicle comprises a pair of belts(210,210a), a fastening unit, and a retractor(110). The belts are installed vertically and separate from each other on the front side of a seat back(102). The fastening unit secures the belts in place. The retractor includes a body coupled with a drum with a backstop serration, a ball coupled with a control shaft, a ball housing for seating the ball, and an operation lever with a pole which is locked or released at the serration according to the up-and-down motion of the control shaft.
