    • PURPOSE: A print head is provided to achieve a high speed print or a high print density by efficiently removing heat dissipated from the resistors in the ink jet print head. CONSTITUTION: A print head is used to eject printing fluid, such as ink, onto a printing medium. The print head has an integrated heat-sink layer(56) used to cool energy dissipation elements which propel the printing fluid from the print head. The print head includes an amorphous substrate(52) carrying a structure of plural thin-film layers. Upon the substrate is defined the thin-film metallic heat sink layer covering substantially the entire plan-view shape of the substrate and serving during operation of the print head to distribute excess heat for dissipation. During manufacture of the print head, the thin-film metallic heat sink layer performs the additional function of preventing an element or compound present in the substrate from migrating into the thin-film layers.

    • PURPOSE: A head chip for ink jet type image forming device is provided to improve cooling efficiency without attaching extra cooling members to the head chip. CONSTITUTION: A head chip for ink jet type image forming device comprises a substrate(110), a path forming layer(120), a nozzle layer(130), and a heater(140). The path forming layer installed on the substrate forms an ink path(121). The nozzle layer installed on the path forming layer has a nozzle(131) in which ink is discharged. The heater heats the ink so that the ink is discharged through the nozzle. The substrate has an ink supply port(111) for supplying the ink. The ink supply port is extended in a longitudinal direction of the head chip. The ink path connects the ink supply port and the nozzle.

    • According to an inkjet print head and a method for manufacturing the same, the inkjet print head comprises an injection assembly which comprises ink transfer paths in the inside, and including a nozzle plate including an injection hole discharging the transferred ink to the outside on the bottom plane. The inkjet print head comprises a printed circuit board which is combined with the injection assembly, and includes an integrated circuit and a connection electrode. In the injection assembly and the printed circuit board in the combined state, a barrier coating film is comprised which covers the surface of the printed circuit board and the internal and external surface of the injection assembly except the bottom of the nozzle plate and the surface of the connection electrode, and is constituted with only organic matter, and has the shape of stacking a flexible film and a hydrophobic film in sequence. The inkjet print head can reduce pollution of the injected ink, and has improved durability.

    • A head chip and an ink cartridge for an image forming apparatus including the head chip are provided to increase printing quality keeping regular ink discharging direction by minimizing warpage of a head chip with a reinforcement bridge. A head chip includes a substrate layer(310), a nozzle layer, and a chamber layer. The substrate layer includes an ink supply slit(311) and a reinforcement bridge(313). The ink supply slit guides ink from an ink storage to the nozzle layer.
