    • PURPOSE: A building finishing material of foaming resin having a layer with a high hardness formed on an outer core material and its manufacturing apparatus are provided to prevent the material from moisture absorption, from falling down from a wall body, and from getting moldy and double the working efficiency. CONSTITUTION: Three rectangular recess portions are formed in an inner core material of cuboid made by blending polystyrene(P.S), which is resin, and carbon, which is a foaming material, with an appropriate amount of water. 150,000 fine foam holes per 1cm¬3 are formed in the resin forming the inner core material. The skin, which is an outer core material, is formed as a layer with a high hardness having no foam holes. A cross recess portion is formed along the entire length of the lower part.

    • PURPOSE: Provided are a process for producing a polymer foam having an excellent surface appearance and a higher expansion proportion, and a polymer foam produced thereby. CONSTITUTION: The polymer foam is produced by the process comprising: (I) a melting step of melting a thermoplastic resin composition by heating; (II) a gas feed step of quantitatively supplying an inert gas into the molten resin composition; (III) a kneading step of mixing and kneading the inert gas and the molten resin composition; (IV) a cooling step of cooling the kneaded material; and (V) an expansion step of expanding the cooled kneaded material, wherein the expansion step (V) comprises (V-a) a cell creating step of producing cells and (V-b) a foam forming step of performing growth of the created cells and smoothening of the surfaces thereof, preferably by employing a die.
