    • A method of producing a semiconductor- sealing-purpose epoxy resin compound by using a kneader, the latter having a suction hole disposed downstream in a direction to feed the epoxy resin compound from a kneading region, with a supply port and a delivery port disposed upstream and downstream, respectively, in the epoxy resin compound feed direction. At the same time as the volatile gas in the kneader is discharged outside the kneader through the suction hole, the epoxy resin compound is kneaded while introducing the outside air into the kneader through the openings in the supply port and delivery port. Since discharge of the volatile gas can be efficiently effected under continuous operation conditions for the kneader, the residual amount of the volatile component in the kneaded epoxy resin composition is greatly reduced; thus, generation of voids is reduced by sealing the semiconductor device by using this epoxy resin compound.

    • PURPOSE: A molding machine and a mold manufacturing method are provided to reduce costs for manufacturing a mold and a mold forming period because a process spreading a molding agent or a wax for forming primarily forming a model and secondarily forming a master model is omitted. CONSTITUTION: Each of a main agent withdrawable part and a hardening agent withdrawable part is composed of a motor, a crank unit, an adhering plate, and a pumping unit. The crank unit converts the rotating motion of the motor into reciprocating motion. The adhering plate is inserted into an upper opening of a main agent storing unit or a hardening agent storing unit, thereby being closely adhered to a main agent or hardening agent. An air intake port connected to the main agent storing unit or the hardening agent storing unit is formed in the adhering plate. The pumping unit pumps by the reciprocating motion of the crank unit in order to discharge the main agent or hardening agent to a stirring device through a discharging hole because the main agent or hardening agent is withdrawn from the main agent storing unit or hardening agent storing unit through the air intake port.
