摘要： PURPOSE: Locking pliers are provided to increase the clamping force by narrowing the interval between jaws. CONSTITUTION: Locking pliers(1) comprise an assembly(10), a second jaw, a second handle(19), a lock mechanism(27), and a pivot(20). The assembly comprises a first handle(12) supporting a first jaw(13). The second jaw is carried with respect to the fist handle between the locked position and the open position. The second handle is connected to the second jaw at the pivot. The lock mechanism closes the second jaw and locks the second jaw at the lock position. When the second jaw is locked and torque is applied to the pliers, a movable pivot can be move with respect to the assembly.
