    • PURPOSE: A toggle-lever clamp device is provided to simplify the structure, to improve the reliability and to clamp workpieces of different thickness by automatically compensating. CONSTITUTION: A toggle-lever clamp device comprises a box-shaped body(10) having a vertical shaft. A hook typed clamp member(11) is partially protruded from a long hole(10') in the shear portion of the body. The clamp member is supported to move between an advanced releasing position and a backward clamping position to lock a workpiece(P). A control device(15) controls the clamp device. The control device is connected with the clamp member to be movable by a middle toggle-lever connection link(18). The control device has a vertical axis and quadric link systems(20,23,11B). The middle toggle-lever connection link has a dead center position and forms a backing prevention condition of the clamp member in the backing clamp position. The middle toggle-lever link is an axially compressed leaf spring shape. The leaf spring comprises a series of elastic compressed spring portions. The quadric link systems and the middle toggle-lever connection link maintain the backing prevention clamp condition of the clamp member to lock the workpiece. The thickness difference of the workpiece is compensated corresponding to the elastic compression of the middle connection link.
