    • An elastic tube (40) is connected to the base end portion of a catheter body (1) having a balloon (2) at its top end portion. When the tube (40) is set at a vibrator device (RP), the end portion side of the tube, projecting outside, works as a margin volume portion (40A). A roller (53) of the vibrator device (RP) can have a shut- off state where the elastic tube (40) is pressed and completely closed, and a communication state where the tube cannot be pressed. When the roller (53) is rotated in a predetermined direction with the inside of a route from the balloon (2) up to the elastic tube (40) filled up with a liquid for heating, the liquid in the tube (40) is pressed toward the margin volume portion (40A) in the shut-off state, while in the communication state, the pressurized liquid in the margin volume portion (40A) flows back to the balloon side. Repeating the pressurizing and the backflow vibrates the liquid in the balloon (2). When the balloon (2) is larger, the length (V) of the margin volume portion (40A) is made longer, so that adequate vibration in accordance with the size of the balloon can be applied.

    • PURPOSE: A surgical balloon having varying wall thickness is provided to achieve an increased contact area with a body cavity into which it is inserted when the balloon is inflated. CONSTITUTION: The surgical balloon(10) for insertion into a uterus comprises a substantially continuous outer wall defining an exterior surface of the balloon on a first side and an interior hollow(16) of the balloon on a second side. The outer wall being formed from a stretchable elastic material and being stretchable by pressure within the inner hollow between a collapsed state and an expanded state. The substantially continuous outer wall has a base portion for coupling with shaft, an intermediate portion adjacent to the base portion and an end portion at a distal end of the balloon and adjacent to the intermediate portion. The base portion has a first primary wall thickness, the intermediate portion has a second primary wall thickness, and the end portion has a third primary wall thickness.

    • A hyperthermotherapy apparatus for a treatment of tumors is provided to treat a small-sized tumor accurately by performing the treatment only on a desired operation site. A hyperthermotherapy apparatus for a treatment of tumors includes a main body(100), a treating unit(200), and a temperature sensor. The main body is connected to a storage tank and includes a supply tube and an ejecting tube. A high temperature liquid circulates in the supply and ejecting tubes. The treating unit is coupled with the main body and includes an elongation tube which encloses the supply and ejecting tubes. The supply and ejecting tubes are connected to a hollow portion of the treating unit. The high temperature liquid is received in the hollow portion. The temperature sensor measures a temperature of an operation site. A temperature sensor ejecting hole(220) is formed in front of the treating unit, so that the temperature sensor is inserted into and extracted from the treating unit.
