摘要： A wireless communication apparatus and a wireless communication method are provided to perform a receiving process suitable for receiving both an MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) signal based on IEEE802.11n and a signal based on IEEE802.11a/g. A wireless communication apparatus for receiving a packet by detecting synchronous timing includes a signal receiving device, a synchronous timing detecting device(21), a synchronous timing adjusting device, and a reception processing device. The signal receiving device receives a transmission signal from a transmission source through an antenna. The synchronous timing detecting device(21) detects a synchronous timing by using a timing detection field included in a header part of the packet. The synchronous timing adjusting device estimates and adjusts the deviation amount of synchronous timing detected by the synchronous timing detecting device(21). The reception processing device performs a receiving process of the packet according to the adjusted synchronous timing.
