    • A differential voltage controlled oscillator using a back-gate feedback is provided to lower a phase noise in comparison with a conventional voltage controlled oscillator, and output an oscillation frequency having a higher frequency than a source feedback or gate feedback voltage controlled oscillator by performing the feedback of a drain voltage of a MOS transistor through a transformer. A differential voltage controlled oscillator using a back-gate feedback includes first and second oscillation circuits. A first switching transistor has a gate, a source connected to a current source, a drain which outputs a first differential signal, and a back-gate. One end of a first coil is connected to the drain. The other end of the first coil is connected to a ground. One end of a second coil is connected to a voltage power. The other end of the second coil is connected to the back-gate. The drain voltage inputted to the first coil is fed back to the back-gate through the second coil. A first variable capacitor generates an oscillation signal with the second coil, and applies the oscillation signal to the back-gate. The second oscillation circuit has a second switching transistor, a second transformer, and a second variable capacitor of the same construction with the first switching transistor, the first transformer, and the first variable capacitor of the first oscillation circuit. The gate of the first switching transistor is connected to a drain of the second switching transistor. A gate of the second switching transistor is connected to the drain of the first switching transistor.

The quadrature phase voltage controlled oscillator(200) generates an I/Q(In-phase/Quadrature phase) signal having a 1/3 frequency of a local oscillation frequency, and a differential second harmonic wave signal having a 2/3 frequency of the local oscillation frequency. The multi phase filter(202) transforms the differential second harmonic wave signal inputted from the quadrature voltage controlled oscillator(200) into the I/Q signal. The single side band frequency converters(203,204) receive the I/Q signal having the 1/3 frequency of the local oscillation frequency from the quadrature phase voltage controlled oscillator(200), and receive the I/Q signal having the 2/3 frequency of the local oscillation frequency from the multi phase filter(202).
