摘要： PURPOSE: A damping force adjustable type damper is provided to adjust the damping force of the damper by using a damping force adjustor. CONSTITUTION: A damping force adjustable type damper comprises a cylinder(2), a reservoir(4), a piston(5), a piston rod(6), a base valve(10), a first check valve(13), a second check valve(17), passages(21, 22, 24), a damping force control unit(25), an orifice passage, and a sub check valve. The cylinder is filled with working fluid. The reservoir is filled with working fluid and gas. The piston partitions the cylinder into a first chamber(2A) and a second chamber. The base valve partitions the second chamber and the reservoir. The first check valve is installed in the piston for the inflow of the working fluid into the first chamber from the second chamber. The passages connect the first chamber and the reservoir. The damping force control unit adjusts the damping force by control the flow of working fluid. The sub check valve is installed in the orifice passage for being opened with low pressure.

CONSTITUTION: In a damper, a load acceleration decreasing equipment(24) is installed in an oil chamber(C) and includes a housing(25), a free piston(28), and elastic discs(30,31). A housing is attached to the coupling bolt of a bottom valve and is comprised of a receiving case and a cap. The free piston is inserted into the housing to be variable while defining a variable chamber in both sides. The elastic discs provide elastic resistivity to the change of the free piston.
