    • PURPOSE: A vehicle lock apparatus is provided, which has a reliable locking system and controls upper speed limit and lower speed limit according to the environmental influence. CONSTITUTION: The vehicle lock apparatus has a capacitive proximity switch in a grip(13) area in a door or a flap of a vehicle. The proximity switch causes electrostatic capacity variation(delta C) per unit time(delta t), and locks a lock in the door or releases the lock state of the lock only when the electrostatic capacity variation exceeds a limit value fixed by an electrostatic capacity rate(delta C/delta t). A counter(25) determines electrostatic capacity variation counting rate by detecting the number of electrostatic capacity variation per unit time by a specified object and an exceptional object. And a discriminator(26) makes the upper speed limit(Go) valid and the lower speed limit(Gu) invalid when the counting rate exceeds a fixed counting rate limit.
