    • The present invention relates to an airbag housing of a vehicle and a method for manufacturing the same capable of improving performance as each part is made of different materials according to required characteristics. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the airbag housing of the vehicle a body unit and a door unit. The body unit holds an inflator, which inflates an airbag when the vehicle collides, and includes an opened side to inflate the airbag in one-way direction. The door unit forms a closed space wherein the airbag and inflator are placed as being connected to the opened side of the body unit, and includes an airbag door being opened by the deployment of the airbag. The door unit is formed of a combination between a high strength part and high flexibility part. The method for manufacturing the airbag housing of the vehicle is the injection-molding of the door unit and comprises a step of: 1) preparing molds and materials having high strength and flexibility to form the door unit; 2) inserting fiber fabrics into the molds; and 3) injecting the materials having the high strength and flexibility into the the molds at the same time.

    • PURPOSE: A transmission indicator for a vehicle is provided to reduce production costs and to simplify a structure by entirely illuminating a PRND text part by using an existing PCB for controlling a PRND indicator. CONSTITUTION: A transmission indicator for a vehicle comprises a housing(10), a PRND controlling PCB(12), an LED(13), and a light transmission medium(15). The housing comprises a sun visor(11) inside, a cut part(22), and a plurality of illuminating holes(21). The PRND controlling PCB is installed in the bottom side of the sun visor inside the housing. The LED is installed in the top surface of the PRND controlling PCB and electrically composes a circuit on the PRND controlling PCB. The light transmission medium is supported by the sun visor to send the light of the LED to the text part of an indicator case.

    • PURPOSE: An airbag system for protecting a knee for a driver is provided to protect the knee against rigid bodies like a steering column in a head-on collision or an offset collision by installing an airbag tube spread toward a shroud panel to an inner surface of a lower crash pad. CONSTITUTION: An airbag system for protecting a knee for a driver comprises an inflator unit(11); an airbag tube(12); an airbag cover(14) and an airbag fixing device(15). The inflator unit is installed to an inner surface of a lower crash pad(3) and applied with an electric current and exploded by control of an airbag control unit. The airbag tube is spread toward a shroud panel(2) from the lower crash pad by gas of the airbag injected when the inflator unit is exploded. The airbag cover is fixed to the shroud panel with fixing members(13) to cover the airbag tube. The airbag cover prevents the airbag tube from damaging by cutting interception of the airbag tube with other components when the airbag tube is spread. The airbag fixing device connects a tip of the airbag tube with a specific site of the shroud panel. The airbag fixing device spreads the airbag tube from the lower crash pad to the shroud panel when the inflator unit is exploded. Therefore, the knee of the driver is protected effectively by the airbag tube.
