CONSTITUTION: A control system for hybrid vehicle comprises an angle of inclination detection unit(101), a battery supervisory controller, and a hybrid control unit. The angle of inclination detection unit provides inclination information of driving road to the hybrid control unit. The battery supervisory controller provides SOC information of a battery(106) to the hybrid control unit. If the information of the angle of inclination detection unit determines the road is inclined, the hybrid control unit detects the angle of inclination of the road and the SOC of battery. The hybrid control unit limits torque of the motor according to the SOC of the battery and angle of inclination.
