    • A preparation method of tobacco leaves bound with a catalyst support containing a nano-size metal oxide is provided to neutralize or get rid of a specific organic compound that is produced from tobacco combustion. A preparation method of tobacco includes the steps of: preparing a catalyst support by depositing a precious metal oxide or a transit metal oxide in a porous material; mixing the catalyst with a solvent and an inorganic binder to obtain a catalytic solution; spraying and binding the catalytic solution onto a tobacco leaf; and drying the tobacco leaf bound with the catalytic solution at room temperature. Preferably, the catalyst undergoes an ultrasonic treatment to prepare nano-size particles excellent in dispersion. Examples of the inorganic binder include ethanol anhydride, alumina sol, titania sol, silica sol, waterglass, etc.

    • A method for preparing a precious metal doped organic-inorganic mesoporous material by introducing a lipophilic group into a mesoporous structure and highly dispersing a precious metal as an active metal into cavities of a porous material is provided, and a method for removing vapor- or particle-phase hazardous organic materials using the precious metal doped organic-inorganic mesoporous material as a catalytic material is provided. A method for preparing a precious metal doped organic-inorganic mesoporous material comprises the steps of: (1) stirring a precious metal compound, a chelate agent, a polymer surfactant, and an organic silane compound to prepare a mixture; (2) subjecting the mixture to a hydrothermal reaction to prepare an organic-inorganic silica mesoporous material into which a precious metal is dispersed; and (3) firing the organic-inorganic silica mesoporous material. The precious metal is selected from palladium(Pd), platinum(Pt), ruthenium(Ru), rhodium(Rh), silver(Ag), gold(Au), osmium(Os), iridium(Ir), or mixtures thereof. The precious metal is contained in the organic-inorganic mesoporous material in an amount of 0.1 to 20 wt.% based on the total weight of the organic-inorganic mesoporous material. The precious metal compound is a precious metal chloride. The chelate agent is a poly alcohol selected from polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, and ethylene glycol. A method for removing hazardous organic materials comprises contacting the prepared precious metal doped organic-inorganic mesoporous material with hazardous organic materials, thereby subjecting the hazardous organic materials to an oxidation reaction. Further, the polymer surfactant is a block-copolymer of poly ethylene oxide-poly propylene oxide-poly ethylene oxide.
