    • The present invention relates to a low temperature oxidation catalyst with improved water-stability for removing toxic gas and more specifically, to a low temperature oxidation catalyst for removing toxic gas which is used for the oxidation reaction for directly removing the toxic gas without a preprocessing step at a high temperature by putting water soluble salt of 8B class metal and copper metal used as an active component into a poly(styrene-vinyl benzene) copolymer carrier with moisture. The catalyst of the present invention has extended catalyst lifetime by not generating inactivation even in a condition with the moisture, and also the inactivated catalyst can be recycled after exposing to steam for one or two hours for the large scale processing of the toxic gas.

    • PURPOSE: A process for ring opening is provided to obtain improved conversion ratio and selectivity in comparison with the case of using hydrogen as a reducing agent. CONSTITUTION: A cyclic hydrocarbon and a reducing agent are provided as supplying materials. The supplying materials are transferred into a reactor (5) and reacted under the presence of a catalyst. A product is separated from the effusion of reaction zone. The catalyst is a heterogeneous catalyst having both acid site and metallic component. The product is obtained by evaporating and heating a mixture containing 100 parts by weight of porous molecular sieve and 0.01-20 parts by weight of water soluble metallic salt. The cyclic hydrocarbon is a naphthene group cyclic hydrocarbon which is pentagonal or hexagonal compound, or an alkyl derivative thereof selected from cyclopentane and cyclohexane. The alkyl derivative is methyl, ethyl, profile, butyl, isopropyl or an isobutyl derivative.

    • PURPOSE: A heterogeneous catalyst for preparation of para-benzoquinone and catechol and a preparation method using the same are provided to prepare para-benzoquinone and catechol of 90 weight% or greater based on the weight of a total product from a reaction of phenol and hydrogen peroxide in an organic solvent by using a heterogeneous catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A heterogeneous catalyst for preparation of para-benzoquinone and catechol includes a porous carrier. The porous carrier carries at least one metal ion selected from the group consisting of vanadium and copper. The porous carrier further carries at least one metal ion selected from alkali metals. The vanadium and copper ions are supplied from a nitrate, a sulfate, an acetate, or a halogen salt. A preparation method using the heterogeneous catalyst for preparation of para-benzoquinone and catechol prepares 90 weight% or more of para-benzoquinone and catechol based on the total weight of a product produced from a reaction of phenol and hydrogen peroxide in an organic solvent.
