    • PURPOSE: A method for recovering tungsten and cobalt from cemented tungsten carbide scraps is provided to effectively recover tungsten and cobalt by oxidizing cemented tungsten carbide scrap through calcination and dissolving tungsten using NaOH(Sodium Hydroxide). CONSTITUTION: A method for recovering tungsten and cobalt from cemented tungsten carbide scraps is as follows. Cemented tungsten carbide sludge is calcined and converted into oxides(S200). The oxidized cemented carbide scrap oxide is dissolved using NaOH solution in a dissolving reactor(S400). Undissolved residues are filtered from the dissolving reactor(S500). Acid is added to the dissolving reactor so that tungstic acid is precipitated and filtered through a filtering apparatus(S510). The undissolved residues are put into a leaching reactor so that cobalt is extracted with acid and alkaline solution is put into the leaching reactor again so that cobalt is recovered as hydroxide(S520).
