    • PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for canceling interference in a mobile communication system are provided to group receiving signals to be suitable for a request BER(Bit Error Rate) of the mobile communication system and perform group-classified interference cancellation. CONSTITUTION: The first interference canceling unit(10) has a plurality of the first detectors(100) connected in parallel, a signal selector(200) and a subtractor(300). A plurality of the first detectors(100) receive a baseband signal. The signal selector(200) compares SIR(Signal to Interference Ratio) measurement values measured in a plurality of the first detectors(100) with a certain target SIR, and selects a reproduction signal reproduced in the first detector in which the SIR measurement value is greater than the target SIR. The subtractor(300) subtracts the reproduction signal selected in the signal selector(200) from the baseband signal. A last judging unit(20) receives the signal outputted from the first interference canceling unit(10), and performs hard bit decision.

    • An interference cancellation receiver reduces the multiple access interference in a CDMA system. The receiver includes a demodulator for receiving a residual signal or a received signal from a calling terminal as an over-sample unit baseband spread signal and down-sampling the baseband spread signal on a chip basis to output a demodulation signal, a regenerator for performing a bit decision for the demodulation signal, regenerating signals through the channelization and scrambling and converting the regenerated signals to signals on the over-sample basis, an adder for summing up the over-sample unit signals, a filter for filtering the summed-up signal to output a band spread signal, a subtractor for subtracting the band spread signal from the received signal to output the residual signal and a delay for keeping timing with the residual signal by delaying the chip unit signals outputted from the regenerator.
