    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for reproducing recorded information is provided to not stop the reproduction of an other moving picture and secure a response speed of a reproduction start time within 1 frame time by reading data within 1 frame time from a disc in the reproduction start time while a disc load state of a next time is predicted. CONSTITUTION: A disc managing circuit(201) manages a load state on each disc. A reading prediction control circuit(202) receives a disk number and a block address of a data reading request with reproducing state information, reads the disk number, a block address and the reproducing state information from a load on each disc and a prediction of a data reading state of a next time within 1 frame time, and controls a reading circuit(203) for reading data from a designated location of each disc. The reading circuit(203) reads data from the designated location of each disc according to the control of the reading prediction control circuit(202). A storing circuit(204) stores an alternate rule for reading an alternate time in a reproducing start time. A reading location converting circuit(205) converts an access to a designated location of a designated disc into an access to a designated of a disc for reading data within 1 frame time while the disc managing circuit(201) checks a disc load with reference to the rule stored in the storing circuit(204).
