摘要： An apparatus for distributing media is provided to distribute media corresponding to contents requested by a client with a client request type. An apparatus for distributing media includes a storage unit(101), a request receiving unit(104), a media selection/conversion unit(102), and a media transmission unit(103). The storage unit stores an original media view of contents and meta data having a plurality of segments for describing the view. The request receiving unit receives a distribution request of a preview having specific information, view information and desired time information selected from list information having the specific information for identifying the contents, the time information, and the view information. The media selection/conversion unit extracts the segments which is adapted to the view information and the time information from the meta data for the contents corresponding to the specific information included in the distribution request. The media selection/conversion unit generates dynamically a preview as an abstract image of length corresponding to the wanted time information by connecting views corresponding to the extracted segments. The media transmission unit transmits the generated preview to the client.
