    • The invention relates to a method for the calibration or mechanical adjustment, or calculation of a drive current for a solenoid-powered actuator for adjustment of the pressure-differential dependent flow of a fluid. The scale of the pressure effect generated by the actuator can be determined in advance by means of the strength of the electrical drive for the actuator, even without the use of pressure sensors, whereby one or more actuator-specific calibration curves or constants KGind for the actuator are derived, such that a set flow (G) can be specifically achieved using said constants by adjustment with the strength of the current (I). The actuator-specific constants are automatically determined without the use of pressurising the actuator. The method can be used to control solenoid valves for ABS vehicle braking systems. Said solenoid valves are intrinsically configured to fully open and close, but can be given corresponding regulatory functions by means of the control system.
