摘要： PURPOSE: A side air bag device of a vehicle and a method for deploying an air bag are provided to minimize the movement of a passenger and prevent injures to the passenger by deploying an air bag in a multiple-sides collision. CONSTITUTION: A side air bag device of a vehicle comprises an air bag(50) interposed between a driver seat and a passenger seat, a side air bag(20), and an airbag controller(60). The airbag interposed between a driver seat and a passenger seat is mounted on the right side of a driver's seat and the left side of a passenger seat. The side air bags are mounted on the window sides of the passenger seat and the driver's seat, respectively. In a side collision, the airbag controller deploys the side air bag and in a multiple-sides collision, the airbag controller deploys the airbag interposed between a driver seat and a passenger seat.
