    • PURPOSE: To provide a gear type braking system for preventing floating of torpedo ladle car to prevent derailment of the torpedo ladle car and improve reliability and workability of the braking system by preventing floating of the torpedo ladle car when holding the torpedo ladle car only on railroad rails. CONSTITUTION: In a system for preventing floating of torpedo ladle car on rails, wherein the torpedo ladle car transports hot metal to the steelmaking process by receiving hot metal from blast furnace, the system comprises a moving shaft part (A) comprising a moving shaft having certain length installed on a supporting stand connected to wheel frame of the torpedo ladle car so that the moving shaft is moved forward and backward along rail guide (110) on an upper part of the supporting stand, and a rotary gear (103) attached to a central part of the moving shaft; rotary gear pressure control means respectively installed at both sides of the rotary gear; a link part comprising supports in such a way that the torpedo ladle car is positioned between the supports, a bent link (127) installed at the inside of the supports in such a manner that the bent link is rotated through pivot, and a tie rod (128) connected to the moving shaft at a lower part of the bent link; and a cylinder part comprising a cylinder (120) fixed between cylinder supports (119) on an upper part of the torpedo ladle car, a piston rod (124) connected to bracket (126) of the link part with being formed in a back and forth direction of the cylinder, and a buffer touch bar (122) installed along with return spring (121) at a rear part of the cylinder.
