    • PURPOSE: A reduction gas control device and method of a molten iron manufacturing system are provided to induce an additional reduction of hot compacted iron by increasing the temperature of reduction gas drawn into a reduction shaft, thereby saving fuel costs. CONSTITUTION: A reduction gas control device(40) of a molten iron manufacturing system(100) comprises a cooling gas source(41) storing cooling gas and first and second cooling gas supply lines(42,43) which are connected to the cooling gas source. The first cooling gas supply line leads a first cooling gas to the path of reduction gas discharged from a melting furnace(20) to a hot cyclone(21). The second cooling gas supply line leads a second cooling gas to the path of reduction gas discharged from the hot cyclone to a multi-stage flow path(11).

    • An apparatus and a method for manufacturing molten irons are provided to improve melting efficiency and substantially reduce pollutants released into the atmosphere at the same time by increasing the reduction rate of iron ores in a blast furnace. An apparatus for manufacturing molten irons comprises: a blast furnace(10); a fluidizing and heating furnace(20) into which blast furnace gas generated from the blast furnace is blown to heat fine iron ores; a hot mixer(30) for mixing fine iron ores and carbonaceous materials that have been heated in the fluidizing and heating furnace; a fine iron ore crusher(60) for crushing the fine iron ores that have been heated in the fluidizing and heating furnace to supply crushed fine iron ores into the hot mixer; and a hot former(40) for agglomerating the fine iron ores and carbonaceous materials that have been mixed in the hot mixer to manufacture compacted irons. The apparatus further comprises a carbonaceous material heating furnace(74) for heating the carbonaceous materials and supplying the heated carbonaceous materials into the hot mixer. The hot former includes a pair of rolls(40a,40b).
