    • Provided is a method for preparing a nanoclay-containing polyethylene composite material which has a lower gas permeability and a more excellent dimension stability compared with a polyethylene composite material using a maleic anhydride modified polyethylene. The method comprises the steps of adding 20-50 wt% of the montmorillonite powder which is washed with a fatty acid amine oligomer aqueous solution and dried, thereby being laminated, is hydrophobic and has a size of 320 mesh or less, to a maleic anhydride modified polypropylene resin to obtain a resin composition; and melt mixing 0.1-30 wt% of the resin composition with a polyethylene resin by an amount of montmorillonite to prepare a nanoclay-containing polyethylene composite material.
