    • PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an aluminum-alumina composite having a three dimensional network structure is provided to obtain reinforcing effect regardless of orientation by compounding alumina on an aluminum substrate in three dimensional network structure. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing an aluminum-alumina composite (10) having three dimensional network structure comprises the steps of coating alumina powder (1) on aluminum powder (2) using a mechanical coating method; forming a load shape by filling the manufactured aluminum-alumina powder in an aluminum can and extruding the aluminum can; heat treating the manufactured load at a temperature of 550 to 700 deg.C for one hour for fusion of powder particles and aluminum-alumina; and processing the heat treated load within the range that the fusion is not broken, heat treating the processed load again at a temperature of 550 to 700 deg.C for one hour, and repeating the processes until a desirable diameter of wire is obtained, thereby forming three dimensional network structure of aluminum-alumina.
