    • The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a capsule that has valuable metal recovery performance and selectivity with respect to a specific metal improved by containing a functional material therein or on a surface thereof; and an adsorbent capsule manufactured thereby. The adsorbent capsule according to the present invention can contain a desired functional material inside the capsule differently from existing beads, and can maintain the shape thereof while being accommodated for a long period. According to the present invention, metal recovery performance can be improved and only a specific metal can be recovered selectively by supplying a polymer capsule having a functional material such as a metal extractant atomized. The method according to the present invention can simplify a process compared with an existing hydrometallurgical method as solids and liquid can be separated in valuable metal recovery. In addition, the present invention can operate the process in a more environmentally friendly manner as secondary sludge is not generated.
