    • 본 발명은 강슬래브 연속주조시 턴디쉬에서 몰드로 용강을 공급하는 침지노즐을 단공으로 하여 노즐막힘을 줄이고, 노즐 토출구 하부에 직류 전자석을 설치하여 토출류의 하강속도를 줄이고, 자석을 상하좌우로 움직일 수 있도록 하여 편류가 발생하면 자석을 이동 제어하여 장시간 동안 양호한 주탕 상태를 유지하도록 하는 전자기 단공 침지노즐을 이용한 슬래브 연속주조장치에 관한 것으로서, 단공 침지노즐(2)의 토출구 직하부에 위치하도록 연주몰드(1) 장변 외부에 설치된 직류 전자석(3)으로부터 발생된 자장(B)의 수직방향으로 전도성 물질(용강)을 이동(V)시키면 이에 직교하는 방향으로 유도전류(J)가 발생하게 되고, 상기 유도전류(J)와 자장(B)에 의하여 이와 직교하는 방향으로 힘(F)과 단공 침지노즐(2)의 토출류 유동의 방향이 반대방향이 되어 유동에 저항이 발생하여 유속이 줄어듦과 동시에 용강의 좌우 유동(5)이 몰드단변(4) 방향으로 퍼지게 되어 2공 노즐로 용강을 공급하는 것과 유사하게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전자기 단공 침지노즐을 이용한 슬래브 연속주조장치 및 연속주조방법을 제공한다.

    • PURPOSE: A molten metal floating apparatus for continuously hot dip coating metal strip is provided to stably float molten metal using electromagnetic field in process for continuously coating the metal strip by passing the metal strip through a molten metal contained pot. CONSTITUTION: The molten metal floating apparatus for continuously hot dip coating metal strip comprises a plating pot(10) in which molten metal(20) is contained, and which is vertically penetrated in such a shape that the upper part of the plating pot(10) is wide while the lower part of the plating pot(10) is narrow; an attached pot(70) attached to the plating pot(10) in a bucket shape along the outer circumferential surface of the plating pot(10) with being adjacent to the upper part of the plating pot(10); a chamber(60) formed inside parts projected along the outer circumferential surface of the plating pot(10) with being adjacent to the lower part of the plating pot(10); an outlet(62) which is extended from one side of the chamber(60) in such a way that the front end part of the outlet(62) is gradually narrowed as it is being inclined upward, and which is formed by being directed to the center of the plating pot(10); a subsidiary pipe(72) for vertically connecting the attached pot(70) and chamber(60); an electromagnetic core(30) installed on the outer part of the plating pot(10) between the chamber(60) and attached pot(70); and an electromagnetic coil(90) which is coiled around the electromagnetic core(30), and to which an alternating current (A.C.) is conducted.

    • PURPOSE: A tapping control method for levitation melting is provided to control tapping promptly and smoothly by discharging cooling inert gas into the tapping part when carrying out tapping operation after performing levitation melting, thereby temporarily solidifying the lower part of levitation molten metal. CONSTITUTION: The tapping control method for levitation melting comprises the steps of charging a target metal for levitation melting into a crucible(20) at upper and lower sides of which electromagnetic coils(51,52) are arranged along the outer circumference of the crucible; levitation melting the metal charged into the crucible by impressing frequency, electric power and current to the electromagnetic coils; tapping the levitation molten metal by increasing a current value impressed to an electromagnetic coil(51) installed at the upper side of the crucible in the electromagnetic coils(51,52); simultaneously turning a current value applied to the electromagnetic coil(51) of the upper side of the crucible to a current value during initial levitation melting when stopping tapping as occasion demands during tapping, and partially cooling the lower side of the molten metal(13) by injecting an inert gas onto molten metal at a high speed through a nozzle inserted into the circumference of the crucible with the nozzle being directed from the lower side to the upper side of the crucible; and performing levitation melting of the metal again after performing partial cooling and stopping supplying of the inert gas.

    • PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for levitating molten metal for hot dip coating process are provided to prevent molten metal from flowing out through the opening part by arranging an electromagnetic force generator around an opening part formed at the lower part of a plating tank and artificially forming solidification layers of the molten metal. CONSTITUTION: The method and an apparatus for levitating molten metal for hot dip coating process comprises AC (alternating current) electromagnets which are installed at long side parts of the opening part to levitate molten metal(1) by electromagnetic force at an opening part of a plating tank; cooling means(10,10') which are equipped to form solidification layers(11,11') at short side parts of the opening part of the plating tank(2) for preventing discharging of molten metal(1); temperature measuring instruments(12,12') which are installed to measure temperature of inner and outer walls of the short side parts of the opening part of the plating tank(2); a severity of quenching controller(13) which is connected to the temperature measuring instruments(12,12') to control severity of quenching of the cooling means(10,10'); and a coolant regulator(14) which is controlled by the severity of quenching controller(13) to feedback control the amount of coolant.

    • PURPOSE: An automatic feeder of mold flux in a continuous caster is provided to improve quality of molten steel and convenience of working by accurately controlling amount of powder to be automatically injected into molten steel. CONSTITUTION: The automatic feeder of mold flux comprises a bucket body(10) in the central lower part of which an inclined surface(4) is formed to slide powder(1) into a discharge port(2), to the inner side of which a height sensor(6) is adhered to measure height of the powder injected(1), and at a certain portion of which a submerged nozzle groove is formed to avoid collision with a submerged nozzle positioned at the central part of a mold; slit support plates(14) which are installed in the lower part of the discharge port(2) formed at the lower part of the bucket body(10) with the slit support plate(14) being spaced apart from each other in a certain distance, and on which a plurality of penetration holes(12) are formed; a slit(20) which is installed between the slit support plates(14), on the surface of which holes(16) are selectively formed so that the holes are connected to the penetration holes(12) of the slit support plate(14), and at the lower part of which a rack part(18) is formed; a driving motor(26) which is connected to the lower part of the bucket body(10), and which engages a pinion(24) equipped at a driving shaft(22) with the rack part(18) of the slit(20); and a control unit(28) and a controller(30) which are integrally connected between the height sensor(6) and the driving motor(26) in order to simultaneously give warning to workers in case that a discharge amount having a certain value or less is sensed based on the signals by sensing signals of discharge rate and state of the powder(1) and move positions of the holes(16) of the slit(20) through the driving motor(26) in case that the powders(1) is discharged in a preset discharge rate.
