    • An electronic abacus for self-training is provided to enable a learner to practice abacus and mental calculation without a person proficient in calculating a problem and enable the learner to practice the calculation by simulating an abacus and mental calculation process on a display device. A storing part(11) stores problem starting/finishing voice data, numeric voice data, and operation voice data, which are read from a barcode by using a barcode reader(140). A controller(10) generates problem speaking voice data by generating a random number, combining the numeric voice data corresponding to the random number, and adding the operation voice data and the calculation starting or finishing voice data to the combined voice data selectively. An output part(13) outputs problem speaking voice data by control of the controller. A display part(12) displays a virtual abacus equipped with abacus beads on a display device. The controller enables the abacus beads to be linked and displayed according to the combined numeric voice data by controlling the display part.
