    • PURPOSE: An actuator using a shape memory alloy is provided to increase the reaction speed of the actuator by forming multiple protrusions to maintain a gap between a covering material and an alloy wire. CONSTITUTION: An actuator using a shape memory alloy comprises an alloy wire (320) and a tubular covering material (300). The alloy wire is made of the shape memory alloy. The tubular covering material surrounds the outer circumference of the alloy wire and is separated from the alloy wire at a predetermined gap. Multiple protrusions (340) are formed inside the covering material to maintain the predetermined gap between the covering material and the alloy wire. An internal space between the covering material and the alloy wire is divided into multiple spaces by the protrusions so that fluid with different temperature can independently flow in each space.

    • PURPOSE: An actuator using shape memory alloy is provided to improve a reaction speed as heating fluid or cooling fluid is injected into both ends of a covering material. CONSTITUTION: An actuator(100) comprises shape memory alloy manufactured into a tube shape with a hollow portion. The heating and cooling units of the actuator cool and heat the shape memory alloy, and control the temperature. The electricity is used as the heating unit, and fluid is used as the cooling unit to control the temperature. The shape memory alloy is manufactured into a coil spring shape.
