    • PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and displaying a short message of a mobile communication terminal is provided to change a graphic emoticon into a mapped character, and to change a character corresponding to the graphic emoticon into a mapped graphic emoticon by analyzing a received text message, thereby transmitting the graphic emoticon by including the emoticon in a short message. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal inputs a character or a graphic emoticon for configuring a short message from a user through a key input unit(S10). The terminal decides whether the graphic emoticon is inputted(S12). If so, the terminal converts the inputted graphic emoticon into a character mapped with the corresponding graphic emoticon in reference to a graphic emoticon table, and decides whether an inputting of the character or the graphic emoticon for configuring the short message is completed(S14,S18). If the character is inputted(S12), the terminal performs a general character inputting process(S16). If the inputting is completed, the terminal converts the short message in wireless data type, and delivers the converted short message to a wireless interface section(S20).

    • PURPOSE: A method for registering a position of a subscriber who subscribes in another mobile communication company network is provided to know an SPC(Signaling Point Code) of a GLR(Gateway Location Register) capable of connecting to an HLR(Home Location Register) in the other company network by retrieving a GLR index table and a GLR SPC table stored in a VLR(Visitor Location Register). CONSTITUTION: A VLR 2 receives an IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identification) of a terminal through an MSC 2(Mobile Switching Center 2), analyzes the received IMSI, and searches an MCC(Mobile Country Code), an NPA(Number Plan Area), and a PFX(Prefix) included in the IMSI(S71). The VLR 2 retrieves a GLR index table using the MCC and the NPA, and a GLR index mapped to the MCC and the NPA(S72). It is judged whether the GLR index mapped to the MCC and the NPA exists(S73). If the GLR index mapped to the MCC and the NPA exists, it is judged whether a plurality of GLR indexes mapped to the MCC and the NPA exist(S74). If a plurality of the GLR indexes mapped to the MCC and the NPA exist, (NPA+PFA) range items in a tuple identical to a plurality of the GLR indexes are retrieved with reference to a GLR SPC table, and it is detected whether a GLR index is mapped to an SPC of a GLR which performs a roaming service of a subscriber among a plurality of the GLR indexes(S75). The (NPA+PFX) range items including a number generated by combining the NPA and the PFX of the terminal are searched, a GLR SPC item in the same tuple is read, and an SPC of the GLR which performs the roaming service of the subscriber is detected(S76). The VLR 2 connects to the GLR using the SPC of the GLR with reference to the GLR SPC table and continuously performs a location registration process(S77).

      본 발명은, 문자 메시지 전송시에 문장에 포함되어 있는 그래픽 이모티콘을 맵핑되어 있는 문자로 변경하여 전송하고, 수신된 문자 메시지를 분석하여 그래픽 이모티콘에 해당하는 문자를 맵핑되어 있는 그래픽 이모티콘으로 변경하여 표시할 수 있도록 함으로써, 데이터 양에 큰 변화를 주지 않고, 그래픽 이모티콘을 단문 메시지에 포함하여 전송할 수 있게 된다.
