    • The present invention provides an electric power supply device. The electric power supply device comprises: a control unit including a control integrated circuit which outputs switching signals according to control signals; a transformation unit which includes a transformer that transforms input electric power, and a switching device that is turned on or off according to the switching signals to operate the transformer; an output unit which receives and outputs the output of the transformer; and a line drive unit which applies electric power based on the input electric power into a driving electric power of the control integrated circuit. The line drive unit blocks the control integrated circuit from the input electric power when a short circuit occurs in the output unit. A protection circuit, formed to block a line output unit, stops operation of a line output unit when a short circuit occurs by static electricity in an output terminal. Consequently, operation of a control chip is stopped, and thus stress on components can be reduced.

The shutdown part shuts down the output signal of the rectifying circuit part.
