    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for improving efficiency of a reformer for a fuel cell is provided to maximize thermal efficiency of a reformer, thereby capable of improving energy efficiency of a fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(20) for improving efficiency of a reformer for a fuel cell comprises: a reformation catalyst part(20a) generating hydrogen-rich reformed gas by endoergic reaction of natural gas and vapor; and a combustion catalyst part(20b) enabling combustion gas which providing reaction heat to the reformation catalyst part to flow. A vertical cylindrical pipe(25) is arranged to surround a side part and a lower part of the reformation catalyst part from outside the reformation catalyst part with a shape that a reformation catalyst(24) is arranged in the low part of the vertical cylindrical pipe. A heating source(284) arranged in the vertical cylindrical pipe of the combustion catalyst part is arranged to surround the outside a part where the reformation catalyst is arranged.
