    • A method for proliferating stem cells is provided to proliferate a large quantity of stem cells without increasing the number of sub-culturing by adding leptin into the stem cells, so that change of stem cells in sub-culturing is inhibited and stability and economical efficiency of stem cell cultivation are improved. A stem cell is proliferated by culturing the stem cell in a serum or serum-free medium for cell culture containing leptin, its analogues or derivatives and a growth factor selected from erythropoietin, G-CSF(granulocyte-colony stimulating factor), GM-CSF(granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor), LIF(leukemia inhibitory factor) and IL-3(interleukin-3), wherein the stem cell is bone marrow stem cell, bone marrow hematopoietic stem cell, stem cell in blood, hematopoietic stem cell in blood, placental blood stem cell, fetal stem cell or adipocyte stem cell. Further, the stem cell is be derived from human being or mouse.
