    • A 5-XMP(xanthosine 5'-monophosphate) aminase mutant specific to ammonia is provided to increase conversion activity of from 5-XMP to 5-gualylic acid by inhibiting glutamic acid-degrading activity of 5-XMP aminase and conferring ammonia specificity on 5-XMP aminase, and reduce cytotoxicity of the 5-XMP aminase, so that 5'-guanylic acid is mass-produced. The 5-XMP aminase mutant specific to ammonia is produced by substituting an 86th amino acid residue of 5-XMP aminase derived from mutated Escherichia coli for alanine, serine or glycine, wherein the 5-XMP aminase derived from mutated Escherichia coli has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 14; and the 5-XMP aminase mutant specific to ammonia has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:16, 18, 20 or 22. The 5-XMP is converted into 5'-guanylic acid by the 5-XMP aminase mutant specific to ammonia.
