    • A far-infrared camera lens, lens unit, and imaging apparatus are provided to extend the viewing angle by assembling the ZnS lens of three sheets. The first lens(G1) is made of ZnS. The first lens has the central part which is the concave meniscus in the image plane. The second lens(G2) is made of ZnS and has the convex peripheral unit in the object side. The third lens(G3) is made of ZnS. The third lens comes close to the second lens. The third lens has the central part which has the swollen meniscus shape in the object side. The third lens has the concave peripheral unit in the object side. The diffraction surface is formed in all lens surfaces. The viewing angle of the far infrared rays lens for camera is 50°~70°.

    • A far-infrared camera lens, a lens unit, and an imaging apparatus are provided to increase a viewing angle and resolution by obtaining a back focus over 6mm. A far-infrared camera lens comprises a first lens(G1), a second lens(G2), and a third lens(G3). Both surfaces(S1, S2) of the first lens have a convex shape. The first lens is made of ZnS. The second lens has a negative meniscus or a concavo-concave shape, and is made of ZnS. The third lens has a positive meniscus shape, and is made of ZnS. A diffraction surface is formed on all lens surfaces. A back focus of the far-infrared camera lens is 6 ~ 20mm. A total focal length f of the far-infrared camera lens is 10 ~ 30mm. A focal length f12 of the first lens and the second lens is 20 ~ 70mm. The first lens, the second lens, and the third lens are manufactured by molding ZnS powder.

    • An infrared zoom lens reduced in size and manufacturable at low cost while maintaining the brightness of image and its related techniques are provided. The infrared zoom lens (1a) comprises first to third lens groups (G1 to G3) made of zinc sulphide. The first lens group (G1) is composed of one or two lenses, and has a positive refracting power. The second lens group (G2) is composed of one or two lenses, and has a negative refracting power. The third lens group (G3) is composed of two or more lenses. The whole lens groups have a positive refracting power. The infrared zoom lens comprises, as the final lens on the image plane side, a positive meniscus lens with its convex surface facing an object. During zooming, the second lens group (G2) is moved along the optical axis. At least one lens surface of the first to third lens groups (G1 to G3) is a refracting one. At least one lens surface of the first and third lens groups (G1, G3) is an aspherical one.
