    • PURPOSE: A rotary vibration damper is provided to secure a narrow limit range of elastic force in an installation region by applying a characteristic curve same as a diaphragm spring to a sealing membrane unit. CONSTITUTION: A rotary vibration damper, especially a split flywheel, is composed of at least two rotary masses rotating relatively to each other against resistance of an energy storage unit and an elastic sealing membrane unit(1) disposed in an installation region between two rotary masses. The sealing membrane unit has a spring characteristic curve obtained by applying elastic force to a sealing membrane over spring travel. The spring characteristic curve of the sealing membrane unit arranged in the installation range is descended and then ascended. The sealing membrane unit has an annular disc inner body(3) connected to one rotary mass at the inside of a radial direction and an annular disc outer body(8) contacted to the other rotary mass at the outside of a radial direction.
