    • An apparatus and a method for amplifying power in an envelope elimination and restoration power transmitter are provided to obtain the improved output power and high linearity by providing an input and output impedance matching function. A power amplifier includes a control circuit(210), an input impedance matching circuit(200), and an output impedance matching circuit(220). The control circuit controls harmonic components to have the maximum efficiency in the direct current drain bias of the domain in which the power amplifier of the size lower than the direct current drain bias of the maximum size mainly operates. The input impedance matching circuit matches the impedance when the control circuit has the maximum efficiency and the impedance of the input terminal. The output impedance matching circuit matches the impedance when the control circuit has the maximum efficiency and the impedance of the output terminal.
