    • A back light assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to uniformly make the temperature distribution according to the position of a flat fluorescent lamp, thereby reducing the moving rate of mercury. A flat fluorescent lamp is received into a receiving container, divided into plural discharge spaces and generates the light. A heat emission member is arranged at the lower portion of the flat fluorescent lamp and supplies the heat to the flat fluorescent lamp and has a heat emission portion(450) having the density in inverse proportion to the temperature distribution according to the position of the flat fluorescent lamp. The heat emission portion includes first plural heat emission lines(452) arranged longitudinally to the discharge space. Second plural heat emission lines(454) are arranged vertically to the first plural heat emission lines.

    • An LCD is provided to reduce the leakage current generated on a surface of a lamp, by forming a conductive type lamp supporting member, which electrically connects between the lamp and a bottom chassis. A lamp unit(50) is disposed on a rear surface of an LCD panel(10). A bottom chassis(80) receives the LCD panel and the lamp unit. A conductive type lamp supporting member(60) is fixed to the bottom chassis to support the lamp unit. The lamp supporting member electrically connects the lamp unit and the bottom chassis. The bottom chassis has a plurality of coupling holes(81), and the lamp supporting member has coupling portions inserted into the coupling holes of the bottom chassis.

    • A method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to shorten the manufacturing time of the LCD, by using a plurality of working tubes when discharge spaces are ventilated, the discharge spaces are filled with discharge gas, and mercury is injected into the discharge spaces. A light source body is prepared, wherein the light source body includes an upper substrate(410) and a lower substrate(420), which are bonded to each other to form discharge spaced(430). The lower substrate has a plurality of openings(427). A plurality of working tubes(500) are respectively joined to the openings of the lower substrate, wherein each of the working tubes has a mercury getter therein. The discharge spaces are ventilated through the working tubes. Discharge gas is injected into the discharge spaces through the working tubes. The working tubes are sealed. The mercury getter is diffused to inject mercury into the discharge spaces. The working tubes are removed.
