    • PURPOSE: A multimedia data reproducing method and device thereof are provided to control a variable reproduction speed based on data receiving speed after starting the reproduction. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia replaying device(100) includes a monitoring unit(110), a rate control unit(120), and a reproducing unit(130). The monitoring unit calculates packet receiving speed which is required to control the reproduction speed. The rate control unit controls reproduction speed of multimedia data based on the difference between a first and a second time which are calculated in a monitoring unit. The reproducing unit reproduces multimedia data according to the reproduction speed controlled in the rate control unit.

    • An image zooming in apparatus and a method thereof are provided to zoom in an image through a bilinear interpolation method for zooming in the image through simple calculation without performing fraction calculation. If an image zoom in is requested, pixels to be interpolated among pixels of the zoom in image are searched(503). Linear weight values corresponding to each of the search pixels are calculated(505). The calculated linear weight value is converted into approximation linear weight values(509). An approximation linear interpolation expression is generated by reflecting each of the converted approximation linear weight values to approximation linear interpolation expression. The generated approximation linear interpolation expression is converted into an approximation linear interpolation expression of bit operation. After calculating pixel values corresponding to the searched pixels by processing bit operation, the searched pixels are interpolated.
