    • PURPOSE: An air valve for an energy storage device is provided to facilitate emission of gas generated from an energy storage device while minimizing volume because of simple structure, and to minimize mechanical structure of an air valve. CONSTITUTION: An air valve(100) for an energy storage device comprises a valve body(110), a fixing plate(120), and a valve plate(130). The valve body is positioned in a gas vent(100a) and has a gas discharge hole. The fixing plate comprises gas flow holes(120a). The valve plate is on the top of the fixing plate. The valve plate closes the gas flow holes by being connected to the fixing plate by magnetic force when a gas pressure in the gas vent is lower than a specific pressure and connects the gas flow holes to the gas discharge hole by transferring the gas flow holes to be separated from the fixing plate when a gas pressure in the gas vent is higher than the specific pressure.

    • PURPOSE: An air valve for energy storage device is provided to moderately solve pressure raise due to gas generated inside toe energy storage device, thereby improving reliability and lifetime of an energy storage device. CONSTITUTION: An air valve for energy storage device comprises: a main body(10) with a gas inlet(11) and a gas outlet(12); and a piston(20) opening or closing path between the gas inlet and the gas outlet. When the pressure of the energy storage device is raised due to internal gas generation, the piston moves to open the path between the gas inlet and the outlet. When internal gas of the energy storage device is exhausted, or the internal pressure of the energy storage device is decreased, the piston moves to close the path between the gas inlet and the outlet.

The package structure comprises a metallic foil, and a protective coating layer consisting of at least one of silicon-based and fluorine-based covering the metallic foil.     • PURPOSE: A chip-type electric double layer capacitor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to implement surface mounting without an additional structure. CONSTITUTION: A case(110) has an accommodation space therein. The case is made of insulating resin. First and second external terminals(120a,120b) are buried in an outer case. The first and second external terminals have first side and second sides. The first side is exposed to the accommodation space. The second side is exposed to the external region of the case. An electric double layer capacitor cell is arranged in the accommodation space. The electric double layer capacitor cell is electrically connected to the first side of the external terminal.
