    • A method for manufacturing a plasma display panel is provided to form uniformly a dielectric layer by improving a dielectric layer manufacturing process. A first and second substrates(210,220) are prepared. An electrode sheet(250) including a barrier rib(214) for defining a plurality of space parts and pairs of discharge electrodes is arranged between the first and second substrates. Dielectric columns(280) are arranged in each of the space parts. The discharge electrodes include a plurality of first discharge electrodes(260) and a plurality of second discharge electrodes(270) within the barrier rib. The first discharge electrodes are arranged apart from each other. The second discharge electrodes are arranged apart from each other. The space parts are surrounded by the first and second discharge electrodes. A discharge cell is formed in an inside of each dielectric column.

    • A plasma display panel is provided to increase brightness of the display panel by arranging cross-sections of electrodes in a discharge space to be different from each other. A second substrate(220) is arranged to be opposed to a first substrate(210). A barrier rib(230) is arranged between the first and second substrates and defines plural discharge spaces. First electrodes(260) are elongated in a cross direction along the barrier rib between the first and second substrates. Second electrodes(270) are arranged along the barrier rib to be apart from the first substrate toward the second substrate with respect to the first electrodes. An intermediate layer is positioned between the first and second electrodes. A fluorescent material is applied on a surface of the intermediate layer facing the discharge space to form first fluorescent layers(235). A cross-section of the intermediate layer of the discharge space near to the second electrode is smaller than the cross-section near to the first electrode.

    • A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify a manufacturing process by oxidizing metal sheets on which discharge electrode patterns are formed, to form oxide films on the surfaces of discharge electrodes. A front substrate(110) and a rear substrate(120) are spaced apart from each other. Plural electrode sheets(130,140) are stacked between the front substrate and the rear substrate, and have apertures for forming plural discharge spaces. The electrode sheets include plural metal discharge electrodes(135) extending as surrounding at least a part of each of the discharge spaces arranged in a line, and are separated from each other. Insulation members are integratedly formed between the metal discharge electrodes. The insulation members are formed of an oxide material of the same metal as the metal discharge electrodes.
