    • A plasma display panel is provided to increase brightness of the display panel by arranging cross-sections of electrodes in a discharge space to be different from each other. A second substrate(220) is arranged to be opposed to a first substrate(210). A barrier rib(230) is arranged between the first and second substrates and defines plural discharge spaces. First electrodes(260) are elongated in a cross direction along the barrier rib between the first and second substrates. Second electrodes(270) are arranged along the barrier rib to be apart from the first substrate toward the second substrate with respect to the first electrodes. An intermediate layer is positioned between the first and second electrodes. A fluorescent material is applied on a surface of the intermediate layer facing the discharge space to form first fluorescent layers(235). A cross-section of the intermediate layer of the discharge space near to the second electrode is smaller than the cross-section near to the first electrode.

A sealing agent(285) is disposed in the through-hole to vertically connect the first and second substrate. A first sealing member(297) seals the first substrate and the electrode sheet, and a second sealing member(298) seals the second substrate and the electrode sheet.
