    • A plasma display unit, a driving unit and a driving method are provided to prevent the base discharge by varying the level of the lowest voltage of reset. A plasma display unit comprises a plasma display panel(100), a controller(200), a driving part and a temperature sensing part(600). The plasma display panel has a plurality of electrodes. The controller produces the control signal. The control signal is used for indicating the exterior image signal in the plasma display panel. The driving part supplies the driving voltage to the electrodes according to the control signal. The temperature sensing part senses the temperature of the plasma display panel or the driving part. The controller produces the first control signal in a part of the reset period in case the temperature of temperature sensing part is less than the reference temperature. The controller produces the second controlling signal in a part of the reset period in case the temperature of temperature sensing part is the reference temperature or greater. The driving part has a transistor and a gate driving circuit. The transistor is connected between the electrodes and the first powers.

    • A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to increase a discharge margin during an address period by regulating the difference between a VscL voltage and a Vnf voltage. A scan driver(410) includes a first transistor(Ys) and a second transistor(Yg). The first transistor includes a drain connected to a voltage source, and a source connected to a scan electrode of a panel capacitor(Cp). The second transistor includes a source which is connected to a ground voltage. A reset driver(420) includes third to seventh transistors(Yrr,Ynf,Ypp,Ynp,YscL2), a capacitor(Cset), and diodes(Dset,D1). During a rising period of a reset period, the reset driver gradually increases the voltage of a scan electrode from Vs to Vset. During a falling period of the reset period, the voltage of the scan electrode is decreased from Vs to Vnf. A scan driver(430) includes a selector circuit(431), capacitors(CscH,C1), diodes(DscH,D2), and an eighth transistor(YscL1). During an address period, the scan driver applies a VscL voltage to the scan electrode to select the discharge cell to be turned on. The scan driver applies a VscH voltage to the scan electrode to the discharge cell, which is not to be turned on.
