The third dielectric layer is positioned at a corresponding position between the discharge sustain electrodes and is composed of a material having a dielectric constant higher than that of the first dielectric layer.

    • A plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to execute stable address discharges by compensating for wall charges to be lost during an address period. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel(100), a controller(200), and drivers(300,400). The plasma display panel includes plural first and second electrodes, and third electrodes across the first and second electrodes. The controller applies a first voltage to the first electrodes during a first period which is positioned between reset and address periods. The drivers are driven under the control of the controller and change the length of the first period according to a sequence to address the first electrodes.
