    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to integrally form a black matrix layer of a same material at a boundary portion of a discharge cell and between a common and scanning electrode, and a bus electrode, thereby simplifying a fabricating process. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel(20) comprises a front face substrate(21a), a common and scanning electrode(22a,22b) formed into a stripe type on a lower face of the front face substrate to be alternately arrange parallel to each other, a bus electrode(23) formed at a lower face of the common and scanning electrode to have a width which is wider than that of the common and scanning electrode, and a black matrix layer(200) formed among a boundary portion of a discharge cell, the common and scanning electrode, and the bus electrode. In the display panel, a thickness of the black matrix layer formed between the common and scanning electrode and the bus electrode is thinner than that of the black matrix layer formed between at the boundary portion of the discharge cell.

    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel having improved black matrix structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the reflection of external light on the front board, prevent the discoloring of the silver-coated electrode, and prevent the dispersing the color in the none-discharge area. CONSTITUTION: A common electrode(110) and a projection electrode(120) made of ITO, which are transparent, form discharge cells on top of the front board(100). The discharge cells form multiple layers on the front board(100). Bus electrodes(111,121) are formed on the common electrode(110) and the projection electrode(120) to reduce the line resistance. And a dielectric layer(150) is formed to protect the electrodes. On the top, an Mgo layer is formed to protect the front board. On the bottom board, discharge spaces are formed between a dielectric layer(150). barrier layers(170) are formed to prevent cross talk and phosphors are formed in the discharge spaces.

    • PURPOSE: A plasma display device is provided to decrease an optical interruption loss and to improve a luminous efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display device includes a lower plate(51) and a front plate(41). A scanning electrode(52) and a common electrode(53) are formed in a determined pattern on the lower plate(51). A lower dielectric layer(54) on the lower plate buries the scanning electrode(52) and the common electrode(53). A partition(57) is formed on the lower dielectric layer(54) in vertical direction with the scanning electrode(52) and the common electrode(53) in order to divide a discharge space(X). Under the front plate(41), a color filter layer with R, G, B type(42) on the upper part of the discharge space(X) has a pattern parallel with the partition(57). A primary dielectric layer(44a) of an upper dielectric layer(44) is formed below the front plate(41) to bury the R, G, B type color filter layer(42). An address electrode(43) is formed under the primary dielectric layer(44a) in orthogonal with the scanning electrode(52) and the common electrode(53). A transparent secondary dielectric layer(44b) under the primary dielectric layer(44a) buries the address electrode(43). A fluorescent substance layer(45) is spreaded on a whole surface of a bottom of the secondary dielectric layer(44b).
