摘要： PURPOSE: A method for economically producing charily 3,4-dihydroxybutyric acid having an inverted charily center from charily 3-activated hydroxybutyrolactone is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing charily 3,4-dihydroxybutyric acid comprises the steps: forming charily 4-hydroxy-3-activated hydroxybutyric acid of formula 3 by ring-opening reaction of charily 3-activated hydroxybutyrolactone of formula 2 in the presence of acid catalysts in water solvent; preparing charily 3,4-epoxybutyrate of formula 4 by inversion of a charily center in charily 4-hydroxy-3-activated hydroxybutyric acid in the presence of bases; producing charily 3,4-dihydroxybutyric acid of formula 1 by water substitution of charily 3,4-epoxybutyrate in the presence of acids.
