    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing dichloropropanol is provided to ensure high yield due to easy recycling and a fast reaction rate by a gas phase reaction and to enable catalyst recycling and easy catalyst recovery. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing dichloropropanol comprises the steps of: evaporating a raw material-containing liquefied material; and reacting the evaporated reaction raw material with a chlorinating agent in a gas phase. The reaction raw material comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of glycerol, 3-monochloropropanediol, and 2-monochloropropanediol. The chlorinating agent is a gas phase. The raw material-containing liquefied material comprises the reaction raw material diluted in a solvent or undiluted reaction raw material.
