    • A system for sensing pressure distribution is provided to optimize a plane shape of a film base and adjustably position an attenuated conductive element in the film base. A system for sensing pressure distribution comprises a pressure distribution sensor(S), a process circuit, and software. The pressure distribution sensor has an attenuated conductive element(4) at the intersection of one line electrode and two to eight thermal electrodes inside a film base(1). The process circuit includes an amplifier connected to each terminal(3) to measure the electrical resistance variation of the attenuated conductive element. The software is for display, record, and interpretation of an operation and a measurement result of a signal received from the process circuit. The plane shape of the film base is optimized and the attenuated conductive element in the film base is adjustably positioned.

    • A body pressure distribution sensor sheet has a first sheet, a second shee, and pressure sensitive sections sandwiched between the first and second sheets. The pressure sensitive sections are arranged in a matrix pattern in which they are separated from each other and are laid out in two directions, longitudinal and lateral directions. In a region between a pair of pressure sensitive sections (201a, 202b) that are adjacent to each other in a first oblique direction, there are formed a first opening (15), a second opening (16), and a cut (17). The shape of the first opening is defined by sides including a side (15b) laterally extending from one end of the cut (17) and a side (15c) vertically extending from the one end. The shape of the second opening is defined by sides including a side (16b) laterally extending from the other end of the cut (17) and a side (16c) vertically extending from the other end.
