    • PURPOSE: Provided is a recombinant plant expression vector containing cDNA nucleotide sequence coding sunflower farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase(SFPS) obtained from Helianthus annus. Also, a recombinant tobacco plant transformed with the same vector, is provided of which aging rate is delayed and seed production is improved. CONSTITUTION: The method for delaying aging of leaves of tobacco plant and for improving chlorophyll content, asexual reproduction, and seed production of tobacco plant is characterized by inserting a plant expression vector containing nucleic acid components and appropriate promoter into a cell of tobacco plant, in which the nucleic acid components contains the cDNA nucleotide sequence coding protein of sequence 1, the cDNA nucleotide sequence is isolated from the seed of Helianthus annus, and the plant expression vector is pCIP-sfps(KCTC 0520BP). The method for producing SFPS comprises the steps of: preparing the DNA fragments and followed by inserting into the host cell; incubating the transformed host cell in an appropriate medium using the SFPS gene to produce the title product.
